Who is JT Foxx?

Believe it or not, I feel like JT and I have a lot more in common than you may realize. I feel like he is a misunderstood individual. JT says people know right where he stands but whether or not they like it is a different story. JT saw a late-night infomercial on how to get rich in real estate but it wouldn’t work in Canada so he headed to Chicago. He came from Canada 10 years ago with everything he owned in a rusty old pickup truck and $974 to his name. He became a millionaire in 24 months, hit 10 million by the time he was 28 and has continued to grow his wealth. He did the work, built the relationships, chased the money, and brought people along with him.

The burning question… what happened on Clubhouse?

I’ve been on Clubhouse since December and I have seen the controversial JT Foxx draw crowds like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. I would go back and forth between rooms and all people were talking about was what JT did or didn’t do or say. So I asked JT in this episode of Coming Clean Podcast, what happened...how did we get here?

He said “I would listen to a lot of people answering advice. They would go in and they’d get coached and it was the worst coaching I've ever heard. And one of the things I do is I'm a coach, right, I know what's bad advice.” So JT decided to start his own room where there would be no BS. He says the idea was people would get to choose if they wanted hard, medium, or soft coaching and he would “give it to them real”. People chose to come to the room. They chose to come on stage. They chose hard coaching. So JT was brutal. He warned them ahead of time. Some said he went too far. A lot of accusations followed, complaints were made, and he was temporarily suspended. What now? How will JT Foxx move forward in Clubhouse?

He says he hasn’t had a chance to redeem himself but he would like to. JT said that he has situational awareness and he genuinely cares for people. His coaches (yes, THE coach has his own coaches) have told him it’s the wrong platform for the way he is. At the end of the day, it’s a personality thing. He says he has two choices: be the way you are and attract tons of heat or change your ways. In the long term, he said “changing my ways, it's a much better move than being the most hated person on Clubhouse.”

I asked JT if it was the right thing to do and his answer was “If people are hurt by it because I gave them the truth. Yeah. It's the right thing to do because it's not my intention. My intention is not to hurt people. At the end of the day, when they go into the business world and people tell them it's a good idea and they fail or they go down the wrong path. That's not me. I can go to bed knowing I gave people the truth. But here's the thing too. The problem is not my advice. It's the delivery of my advice. And that's what's going to change. I'm not going to coach people any differently. I just will deliver the information differently.”

Will he change his ways? Will he adapt and adjust to this platform? Time will tell.
