Multi Sensory Human with Gary Zukav - Spiritual Teacher/NYTB Author, Ep #116

I was on a call catching up with my good friend and spiritual advisor Gary Zukav recently. We got into such a powerful conversation, I realized we needed to share it. What it means to be a universal human

Gary sees an epic, unprecedented transformation to human consciousness that is happening now and has been happening for a generation. In a couple of generations, everyone will have this new consciousness - an expansion beyond the limitations of the five senses. Hundreds of millions of people are having multi-sensory experiences. This could cause them to ask them questions like, “Am I more than a body and a mind?” Multi-sensory perceptions are everywhere and they impact our experience of ourselves, the universe, community, culture, religion, gender, everything.

This new consciousness makes us more connected but it doesn’t make us kinder

We are still self-serving, so to move beyond that, we must create a new understanding of power, which is an alignment of personality with the soul. It’s in dramatic contrast to the old understanding of power, which was the ability to manipulate and control. The creation of this new understanding is our evolutionary path. It’s learning how to love and give the gifts you were born to give. It requires work. It requires self-awareness. It requires honesty and humility and the willingness to challenge the insecure parts of ourselves when they appear. This is what creates authentic power.

How to understand anger from an evolved consciousness

Gary experienced immense amounts of anger when he was younger. He pushed everyone away when they would point out this issue, which he now can understand as his fear acting in place of love. The work he did to unlearn this acting on fear is the work he teaches today. He teaches the lived experience of creating authentic power, which he believes is his true legacy that will live on long after he has passed. Spiritual partnerships are the relationships that will replace all others. Partnership between equals for the purpose of spiritual growth is the way we will evolve as a race and as individuals.
