Welcome to episode 73 of the Coming Clean Podcast! It’s an honor to have Rob Luna here to talk with us. Rob has an impressive bio and he has certainly worked to get it. He founded a company in a spare bedroom in 2001 and built it into a multi-million dollar company that he sold to a publicly-traded company. He has MBA’s in two countries and over 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry. Will Biden help close the gap that has divided these United States? 

When asked about his outlook on whether or not he thinks the country will come together under the new Biden/Harris administration Rob says he doesn’t think the country could get any further apart. Not meaning it as a political statement. He mentions that President Biden says we need to start healing and coming together again as a people, but Rob doesn't have a huge amount of faith in politicians to really be the ones to do that. It’s definitely his hope for it to happen though. Growing up in L.A. during the Rodney King riots Rob never thought we would see a situation in the United States quite as bad as that again, but some of the things we have witnessed over the past months have been frightening and he is, like a lot of us, hoping that we can come back together as a country and start to heal.

The reality is that politicians should only be order keepers and policymakers. It is up to us, the entrepreneurs, to continue to create and develop industry jobs, prosperity, and everything else. We, the people have control over the country and it really baffles me to see how people lose focus of that so quickly.

The cannabis industry’s potential impact on business in the US

The cannabis industry has really blown up in the US yet there are many issues still at play such as decriminalization federally and across the states. Federally it’s illegal but on the state level, a majority have legalized cannabis in some manner for either medicinal or adult use. Rob says if you look back at Biden and at VP Harris and their stance previously on marijuana, you’ll see that Biden has continued to soften his stance publicly over the last year or two. There was something called the MORE Act that actually moves to legalize marijuana and VP Harris was actually supportive of that. So Rob thinks it’s kind of like prohibition, and it's a matter of time before marijuana is fully legalized. Are you wondering what that can mean for business? Rob Luna Academy… what is it and what does it offer YOU?

Rob says the academy was born out of a labor of love. In his business, he works with ultra-high investors with $5mil+ in investable assets, which obviously, the average person doesn't have. After getting into social media last year he realized how much bad advice was out there. 

People starting out with $5-10-20K in investments weren’t getting top quality advisors; so he wanted to create an online format that was affordable, where people could get fundamental classes and develop a solid foundation of knowledge. Rob says once you have that foundational knowledge you need real-time information because if you're running a business and you weren't expecting COVID to happen, well, how do you pivot?
